Phillip provides a wealth of knowledge and experience in real estate acquisitions, and in financing residential and commercial real estate transactions. Phillip’s fifteen year career in real estate brokerage, banking, and mortgage lending, provides him a deep knowledge base, and broad transactional experience in everything from foreclosure sales of distressed assets to commercial businesses.
While acting as the branch manager and vice president of Hillside Financial Group, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Phillip specialized in investment property financing and development. His analysis and execution of originating loans in emerging client markets made him a top producing mortgage Broker/Banker in the greater Kalamazoo area, closing over $50,000,000 of loans. Phillip’s primary efforts focused on maximizing investment returns for his clients and developing strategic tactics to build real estate portfolios. While at Hillside Financial Group, he developed capital leverage techniques that maximized client profits and minimized personal capital investment.
Phillip earned a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and received Eugene Krasicky Award for his outstanding work for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review Board. Phillip was a member of the Negotiations and Alternative Dispute Resolution National Team and focused his studies on negotiation strategies and tactics. Phillip is also a Cum Laude Graduate of Albion College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a concentration in public policy.
